Five ways to dress an office wall

A 12-metre white wall in an open-plan office is a surface that speaks: of the company's culture if you dress it, of indifference if you do nothing. There isn't one right answer, there are five, which can be combined depending on the space, the budget and how long you want it to last.

Printed or painted murals

The big gesture: a bespoke visual printed on non-woven wallpaper, or hand-painted by an artist. It is what turns a corridor into a place. It is designed with you (company history, values, local roots, products) and installed in a single visit, area by area if the offices are occupied. Wall stickers and giant stickers

Cut or printed adhesives, from a pictogram to a visual several metres wide. Office stickers are used to spell out your values, signpost a space, carry a logo or dress a pillar. A giant sticker covers an entire wall with a visual, for less than a mural, and comes off without damaging the paint the day you want a change. Matt, satin or textured wall vinyls depending on the wall, installed by our fitters just like window film.

Acrylic prints and frames

A visual printed under acrylic (PMMA) takes on a depth and gloss that paper doesn't have: photos of your projects, team portraits, brand visuals, key figures. Mounted on stand-offs, acrylic prints can be moved or replaced and give structure to a gallery along a corridor or in a meeting room. We make them in the size you want, with direct or face-mounted printing.

Eco-friendly wallpaper

PVC-free non-wovens, solvent-free inks, papers from managed forests: wall decoration can be clean. It is a consistent choice for companies with a responsible approach, and more comfortable for teams (no smell during installation). We specify the origin and composition of materials in the quote.

Plants and relief

Maintenance-free preserved lichen walls, raised letters and 3D logos, printed acoustic panels: for when the wall also needs to absorb noise or add texture. Often combined with a mural or stickers for the background.

Decorative metal letters for offices and shops

Metal letters sold individually in DIY stores decorate a home. In an office or a shop, the need is different: a word, a values statement or a name drawn in your typeface, at the scale of the wall, cleanly fixed and legible from a distance. We design them with you, make them to measure and install them.

Materials: aluminium, steel, brass, stainless steel

Aluminium is light and easy to work: brushed for a contemporary look, lacquered in one of your brand colours, anodised when it has to stand up outdoors. Steel, painted or left raw and varnished, gives a workshop or industrial feel. Brass brings a golden tone that patinates over time if unvarnished, for a boutique, a hotel or a heritage house. Brushed stainless steel resists moisture and suits façades, entrance halls and washrooms. Aluminium composite, more economical, reproduces the brushed look on large formats.

Finishes

Brushed, mirror-polished, matt or gloss lacquer, gold, copper or aged effect. The edge of the letter matters as much as its face: it gives the visible thickness and catches the light. A letter can also be backlit with LEDs behind it: the light draws a halo on the wall and the word reads at night.

Stand-off fixing

The neatest fixing is on stand-offs: each letter sits on rods or spacers that hold it a few centimetres off the wall, creating a shadow and adding depth. Drilling is done with a full-size paper template, which guarantees alignment and spacing. On a surface that cannot be drilled, glass, a listed wall or a fragile partition, the letters are bonded with double-sided tape suited to their weight and material.

Our lettering projects

At SNCF, a "Welcome" in brushed aluminium Dibond, mounted on stand-offs, greets visitors. At AXA Banque, gold 3D lettering reading "Creativity" and the word "Soft" made of copper pipes dress the walls. And when metal is not the right choice: at BNP Real Estate the raised lettering is cut from acrylic, and at Payplug the values are in translucent coloured letters. Giant wall stickers and large-format wall graphics

A giant sticker is a printed or cut adhesive graphic the size of an entire wall. The ones sold online are standard designs for the home. For a business, we start from your photos, your brand guidelines or an illustration created by our studio, and produce it to the exact size of the wall, cut around sockets, doors and windows.

What size?

There is no size limit. Beyond the print width, the image is split into panels that are joined on site. The panel layout is planned so that joins fall away from sensitive areas: a face, a line of text, a logo.

Which adhesive for which wall

On a smooth painted wall, a polymeric vinyl printed with latex inks and matt-laminated to be washable: that is what we installed over more than 800 m² at BearingPoint. On textured wallpaper, a high-tack adhesive, as in the Humanis entrance hall, covered from walls to doors. For line drawings, a solid-colour vinyl cut motif by motif, as along more than 15 linear metres of the DGGN cafeteria.

Which wall, which solution

Reception: a raised logo against a mural or a block of colour, perhaps an acrylic print showing client references. The open-plan office: values stickers, a brand frieze, a mural on the longest wall. Meeting rooms: an identity for each room (name, pattern, colour), coordinated with the window film on the partition. The cafeteria and break-out area: the place for a playful mural and a giant sticker. Corridors: a gallery of acrylic prints or panoramic wallpaper, with signage built into the decor rather than stuck on top.
